1.7.1 is a bug fix release to address some issues that came up with the large 1.7 release last week. It also contains some new features that almost made it into 1.7 as well as updates for iTunes 9. The 1.7 release notes can be found here.

New Features

• Download Older Reviews AppViz 1.6.* would stay up to date on reviews by downloading the first page on each request. AppViz 1.7.1 will now download all of your reviews, including older pages, even if you have thousands of pages of them. Older pages will be fetched on the first review request. After that only new pages will be fetched. IMPORTANT! This first request can be slow if you have a lot of reviews but needs to complete. If the download is cancelled AppViz will attempt the grab the older pages again the next time you download reviews.
• Top 200 Ranking Downloads AppViz now picks up the top 200 lists from iTunes 9 when manually downloading rankings.
• Top Grossing Support Per Category iTunes 9 added a new top grossing ranking type on top of the existing free and paid rankings. AppViz makes this available per category so that you can see how you compare with other apps in the same category as well as in the Top Overall category. You can configure this through the ‘ranking type’ drop down in the top table on the rankings page.

Minor Features/Design Changes

• There is now an option in the general tab of the preferences to store the dashboard display type (revenue, sales, upgrades, downloads) per product as in AppViz 1.6.*.
• There is another option in preferences to display the last 15 days on the dashboard instead of the last week.
• Redesigned rankings to make Applyzer integration easier to use.

Bug Fixes

• Review dates are now parsed properly. This fixes the problem where some reviews were appearing to be from the future. We hope to re-add prognostication in a future release, but it is currently beyond our power.
• Date downloaded is once again available as a column in the reviews table.
• Fixed the drop off to zero on the dashboard bug that occured when downloading if the daily report for the previous day was missing.
• The preference bug where the product name column was missing in the reviews table for some users is now fixed.
• Fixed a bug that slowed manual rankings downloads way down for stores that had less than 100 rankings
• Deleting reports from the manage reports dialog now properly updates the graphs.
• Refunds once again appear on the reports tab.
• The original currency column is now rounded on the reports tab.
• Exporting archives now exports .zip files as designed rather than folders.
• Entering the name of a product in the rankings view and clicking download without committing the edit now properly stores the value entered.
