If you've ordered since Oct 5th, 2010, you can retrieve your license through our lost license page. If your license is older or that page is misbehaving, you can always contact support@ideaswarm.com and we'll get you back up and running.
If you haven't received your upgrade yet, please check the email address you used to purchase AppViz 1. If that email is no longer in service or you just didn't receive your code, please contact support@ideaswarm.com and we'll get you a new code as soon as possible.
Yes. We're extending a free upgrade to every purchaser of AppViz in May, 2011. If you haven't received your code yet, please contact support@ideaswarm.com.
The 5 pack is great for small businesses with a number of partners or small sales teams that aren't large enough to purchase a site license but are large enough to require more than one copy of AppViz. The 5 pack gives you the flexibility to grow your business at a significantly reduced price per unit than the per seat license. If you're looking to grow in the future or you just have multiple seats today, the 5 pack is your best bet.
AppViz 2 has full support for the iBookstore, including downloading icons, reports, reviews, and rankings for every country where iBooks are sold.
AppViz 2 is priced so that we can continue to provide quality upgrades and updates to keep up with changes to iTunes Connect. There were more than 40 free updates to AppViz 1.0 over the course of 2 years and those updates significantly slowed our ability to develop new features for our customers. In order to maintain a stable business model and continue to grow and develop great features, we needed to charge a little bit more.
The current version of AppViz 1.0 should support Lion out of the box. Please contact support@ideaswarm.com if you encounter issues with the new OS.
AppViz 1.0 will continue to be updated until January 1st, 2012. Updates will include bug fixes for iTunes Connect but no new features.
AppViz 2 supports Mac OS 10.6 ( Snow Leopard ) and later running on 64-bit capable Macs ( Core 2 Duo and later processors ). If your Mac is less than 5 years old, it should be supported. If you're not sure, we suggest giving the trial a try before purchasing.
AppViz was built as a desktop application partly for data security reasons. It is our top priority.
When logging in using AppViz there is an option to store your password using Keychain Services. This is the same password store that Safari and most other Mac applications use. If you do not choose to store your password in the keychain then it is not stored; AppViz does not keep this information in any other location.
When downloading data your user name and password are sent directly to iTunes Connect over an https connection, the same as logging into the site manually using Safari. IdeaSwarm never has access to and will never ask for your user name or password.
Your report data is also downloaded over https. Once downloaded it is as secure as your hard drive. Again, IdeaSwarm never has access to this information unless you choose to send it to us in an email, in which case the data is confidential, will be used only to find and fix your specific problem, and will be deleted immediately afterward. IdeaSwarm does not retain customer data.
AppViz also makes a connection to iTunes to grab review data and your application icon. This sends the apple id of your program but no other identifying characteristics. Paging through your reviews in iTunes sends the same requests.
At the end of the data import AppViz will download currency exchange tables from a provider. This request contains no identifying information or sales numbers and is the same for all AppViz clients.
If you have further questions about the security of your information please contact support@ideaswarm.com.
As accurate as the reports. Summaries are calculated from monthly, weekly, and daily reports and are kept as accurate as possible. Unfortunately Apple does not guarantee the data for anything but the monthly reports; if you are paying partners based on sales numbers it is suggested that you use the 'reports' tab with the monthly reports selected to determine amounts. Currency conversion is done with daily currency tables and may be inaccurate depending on currency fluctuations, when Apple sends out payments, and Apple's specific arrangements with various regional banks. Numbers may be rounded to the nearest 2 decimal places depending on your preferences.
Fixing, yes. Please let us know about any bugs that you find by contacting support@ideaswarm.com. As for adding features, we'd love to hear your ideas. We can't guarantee that everything will make it in, of course, but we can guarantee that we'll give them some thought.
Send them to support@ideaswarm.com and we'll do our best to answer you promptly. Most days we've been able to turn support emails around in a few hours to at most a day; I'm hoping to continue that trend.
